Lettuce, cabbage, kale, chard and greens are a very rewarding and tasty crop for your garden.  All of these greens grow quickly and give prolifically (especially kale).  You can cut your greens at the base and harvest all at one, or you can just pull a few leaves each day.  When your green starts to get tall quickly, they are going to seed, and will soon not be tasty and delicious anymore, it is best to harvest before this happens.
